We are implementing key updates to our goal management system to streamline workflows and enhance functionality for Reviewees, Managers, and Admins during review cycles. These updates aim to simplify goal management, improving the overall experience by making processes more intuitive and efficient from goal submission to approval.

• Dynamic Goal Refresh and Validation:

1. Automatic Updates: Goals are refreshed whenever the selection screen is accessed or edited.
2. Relevance Guaranteed: Only up-to-date goals are shown based on the active review cycle.

• Seamless Integration of Aligned Goals:

1. Automatic Inclusion: Aligned goals are included for easy selection and submission.
2. Improved Accessibility: Reviewees can view and submit aligned goals smoothly.

• Enhanced Editing Experience:

1. Pre-Submission Edits: Reviewees can freely edit their goals until submission.
2. Post-Submission Edits: Requires un-submission first, with clear instructions for the process.
3. Post-Approval Edits: Managers can un-approve goals to allow changes, supported by a guided workflow.

• Completion Phase Lock:

1. Editing is disabled once review phases like goal selection and approval are completed, ensuring process finality.

• Support for Special Scenarios:

1. Existing Responses: Goals with responses cannot be edited.
2. Shared Goals: Multi-owner goals cannot be edited once part of a review.
3. Parent Goals: Edits are restricted for goals with key results already in use.

• UI Enhancements for Clarity and Improved Admin/Manager Efficiency:

1. Clear Messaging: Pop-ups provide helpful, actionable options for un-submitting or un-approving goals.
2. Efficient Workflows: Users are automatically redirected to the appropriate screens in complex scenarios, such as shared goals across review cycles.
3. Admin Efficiency: When an Admin un-submits a Reviewee’s goal selection, the approval status is also un-submitted for consistency.
4. Manager Efficiency: Managers can continue with goal approval and selection seamlessly, without encountering interruptions or delays.
