Introducing Multiple Goal Sections in a Review Cycle

We’re excited to introduce a powerful enhancement to the Performance Review Module — the ability to add multiple goal sections within a single review cycle.

What’s New?

• You can now create multiple goal sections within a review cycle.
• The first goal section acts as the default (primary) section and allows configuration of: Goal Weightage, Goal Visibility, Goal Cycles, Goal Type.
• It also supports goal selection and goal approval directly from the frontend.
• For all additional goal sections:

1. Only Goal Cycles can be configured manually.
2. Other configurations (weightage, visibility, type) are automatically inherited from the default section.
3. Goals can be uploaded in bulk using a CSV file for easy management.

Why It Matters?

This enhancement enables organizations to:

• Organize goals effectively across multiple dimensions such as Business, Functional, and Personal goals.
• Maintain consistency in goal configurations while ensuring flexibility in goal cycles.
• Scale performance management for larger teams or complex review structures.

CSV Enhancement

• To support the new multi-section structure, a new column has been added to the Goal Upload CSV: Review Cycle Goal Section Name.
• This column specifies which goal section each goal belongs to. The system automatically maps the goal to the correct section based on the section title in the review cycle.

Example Use Case

A company can now define multiple sections within the same review cycle:

• Section 1 (Default): Core Business Goals → Full configuration with UI goal selection and approval.
• Section 2: Functional Goals → Only goal cycles configurable; other settings inherited; supports CSV upload.
• Section 3: Personal Development Goals → Only goal cycles configurable; other settings inherited; supports CSV upload.
