Streamlining Performance Reviews: Managing Hidden Goals with Ease
🏆 Performance Reviews
We are introducing an update designed to improve transparency and provide better control in performance review processes. This enhancement aims to simplify workflows and ensure a smoother experience for both managers and employees during review cycles. Here's what’s new:
1. Exclusion of Hidden Goals:
- Default Exclusion: Custom visibility goals not visible to managers are now excluded automatically in selection and approval dashboards.
- Exceptions: Managers who are admins, creators, or owners of a custom goal can still view these goals.
2. Disabling Goal Addition:
- Define Goals Page: Goals hidden from managers will have the “Add Goal” button disabled on the define goals page.
- Tooltip: Hovering over such goals will display a message: “You can’t include this goal because the manager doesn’t have visibility for it.”
3. Manager-Specific Adjustments:
- Approval Screens: Goals with restricted visibility are hidden from managers unless explicitly allowed by the reviewee.
4. Handling for KR-Only Review Cycles:
- Parent Goal Confirmation: If a parent goal (Objective) is hidden but child goals (KRs) are visible, the system prompts a modal before inclusion: “The manager doesn’t have visibility for the parent goal. Are you sure you want to include it?” This ensures reviewees/users make intentional decisions.
- Approval View: Hidden goals are excluded until explicitly permitted through the confirmation modal.
